Five international scientific conferences 'Neolithic Seminars' were organised, and five proceedings were published, where topics directly connected to the research topics presented here, were discussed. An international colloquium on the production of the Roman sarcophagi in the Upper and Lower Pannonia and Upper Moesia was organized.

COBISS.SI-ID: 36429154Interdiciplinary focus of the research programme and involvement of researchers in inter-national research networks resulted in a continuos testing and exchange of results and confrontation of interpretations, with the international scientific community. In this way, we actively contributed to the contemporary discussions and issues and in this way build identity and recognition of Slovenian archaeology.

COBISS.SI-ID: 35697250New technology, LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging, or ALA, Airborne Laser Altimetry) was introduced to the archaeological research. LiDAR was introduced into archaeological practice of preventive archaeology in Slovenia in the field of spatial planning and development. Most of the fieldwork and case studies were done in the Krško region, in areas aimed for construction of plants on river Sava. LiDAR thus became part of the standard archaeological toolbox of non-invasive prospections, which can be applied in the context of research of past landscapes and protection of heritage.

COBISS.SI-ID: 36380514The standards and procedures in field archaeology were developed. Heterogeneity and extent of archaeological fieldworks, especially on motorway routes, demanded a development of standardization of all the activities. The standards contain standards of field procedures as well as standard on obligatory documentation, and are aimed as the minimal required standards to be met by all involved in archaeological practice. The proposal of standards were publicly available and discussed, the procedure of their transformation into regulative documents by the Ministry of culture is closed.
