In the monograph the results of the most recent research of the prehistoric pile-dwelling settlement Resnikov prekop near Ig on the southeastern part of the Ljubljansko barje are presented. Using new methodological approaches we were able to confirm that the cultural layer from Resnikov prekop (5th millennium B.C.) which plays an important part in the history of Slovenian and Ex-Yugoslavian prehistoric archaeology was subject to erosion in late prehistory. The monograph also contains a treatise on the first farmers and potters in central Slovenia.
