The work is the result of members of the programme group from the multidisciplinary migration aspect with emphasis on achievements in the fields of literature, historiography, cultural anthropology, sociology, art and literary history. The work is designed for foreign scientific circles. With it we wish to add a precious stone in the global migration mosaic map. The discussed themes are new, comparable to similar achievements abroad, which is evident from responses (dissemination).

The scientific monograph brings numerous concrete data and theoretical considerations. It fills up the blank spaces on the Slovene cultural map. The work deals with the displaced writers from former Yugoslavia who chose Slovenia to be their new home. Besides the theoretical part, the authoress speaks of the situation of immigrants and their descendants in Slovenia on their way to equal language and cultural integration.

Slovene countries were connected with the world in the media sphere as well. Ljubljana was an important railway junction (Južna železnica – South Railway).
