The same as stated in description of a previous achievement applies for new regulation of take-overs in Slovenia. The work is a result of a profound study, which was solid basis for drafting a new act in this field of law. Furthermore, in work is great emphasis put on issue of cross-border mergers, what will enable Slovenian companies more flexible functioning on single European market.

COBISS.SI-ID: 229736704The project, which has been co-funded by the EU Commission within the Framework Programme for judicial cooperation in civil matters, was carried out by University of Maribor, Faculty of Law (coordinator, project promoter: Prof. Dr. Vesna Rijavec), University of Graz and the University of Bayreuth. The project contributes to creation of a genuine European Area of Justice. The results have been presented on 2 international conferences with written materials and published in foreign and domestic legal reviews. At the international publisher Nomos the scientific monograph is in printing.

COBISS.SI-ID: 3716139Faculty of Law and Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Maribor carried our under leadership of Prof. Dr. Vesna Rijavec project aimed to introduce IT in judicial system.. The main achievement of the project was a setting up of an electronic register of wills at the Notary Chamber of Slovenia. This database secures on one hand constitutional right to private property and successions, and on the other hand represents a compatible system with the upcoming European register of wills.

This work codifies the positive law in the field of commercial contracts and gives guidelines not only potential parties of commercial contracts but also court in deciding upon disputes arising out of those contracts.
