A reproducible liver trauma model was introduced. We designed a model to cause a reproducible liver trauma: with a precisely directed crossbow and an arrow with a ball instead of a nib, which is shot towards a body in the liver area, we caused in the animal of the same weight (anesthetized pig) always the same type of injury (publication and lecture at a European congress). The importance lies in the possibility of further research of changes after injuries and by increasing the force and thus causing higher degree injuries.
