This paper deals with an improved precision B-H analyzer based on a power amplifier (PA) with a feedback loop, which is suitable for measuring B-H curves and losses of soft-magnetic toroidal cores. The focus is on the proposed repetitive action control method used to achieve a very precise sinusoidal waveform that reduces the peak H while preserving the amplitude of the secondary induced voltage. Two variants of the control method are presented, and their influence on the output waveform are compared. Reasons for choosing one are stated, and measurements show a considerable improvement.

The paper deals with active electromagnetic damping of lateral vibration of a clamped steel cantilever. The electromagnetic system consists of a switching current amplifier and a pair of electromagnets, which are mounted laterally at a right angle to the plane of the steel cantilever. A simulation model of control system has been produced and confirmed by experiments. Control algorithm is simple, efficient and ensures stability in operation.

The paper outlines a study on an integrated starter-generator-torque-booster (ISGtB) for hybrid propulsion system, with a particular focus on the generator operation in the low-speed range. The proposed solution, enabling each of three-phase converter legs to operate as an autonomous boost converter with synchronously driven upper transistors instead of using body diodes, extends the generator operation range below the nominal rotational speed and offers simple yet efficient energy flow control.

The domain flexing function, coherent with the magnetic excitation level was introduced because of unproper behavior of the Jiles-Atherton model around extremity of the hysteresis loop. Thus the accuracy improvement of the model and physical behavior was achieved. In the proposed hysteresis model, the genetic algorithms are used in parameters optimization. The paper describes a novel method for control of induction machines servo drives, called Predictive torque control with immediate flux control. The stator flux of the machine is a first control variable, which is set by correct choice of voltage space vectors. One can chose between two variants, offering either low switching frequency (low losses) with somewhat higher ripple or the opposite combination, with both variants based on prediction of variables. A superimposed control loop is used for torque control, which enables a very fast response of the machine to the reference torque.
