The project “Development and optimization of the Integrated Starter, Generator and Torque Booster with the electronic power converter" was carried out in cooperation with the AET company from Tolmin. The method for the reduction of cogging torque of the implemented electric machine was patented in Slovenia.

COBISS.SI-ID: 5282644A diagnostic system which can predict such failures in advance is therefore of great importance. We developed hardware and software components for complex and automated on-line diagnostic system for supervision of large high-voltage induction motors in thermal power plants. Two such systems were installed in industrial environment and they are operating with no problems for 3 and 1,5 years, respectively. A special mobile version of the system is used for occasionally testing at different locations in the industry performing very useful results.
F.04 Increase of the technological level
COBISS.SI-ID: 6493012A family of tone-frequency transformers for serial and parallel injection of tone pulse in the power network was developed for ETRA 33 Energetski transformatorji by the research team. The transformer is connected with tone-frequency generator produced by Siemens, Switzerland. There were produced 28 different devices. The transformers have been sold in Slovenia and also exported to many countries. The factory Etra 33, because of exceptional quality, became the leading supplier for Siemens.
F.06 Development of a new product
COBISS.SI-ID: 7031124Several possibilities of phase shifting transformer for power flow control between Slovenia and Italy and Slovenia and Hungary, were researched. Two variants of PST with power flow of 1200 MVA and phase angle from -40° to +40° We found a variant with typical power of only 1202.4 MVA in comparison to classical PST which would have typical power of 1641.7 MVA, which bring a significant cost reduction for the investor ELES, Slovenian electrical power distributor.
