Profiled steel sheetings for composite steel and concrete floors of two different heights (74mm and 110mm). were developed and designed for the company TRIMO Trebnje. The main characteristics of this profiled sheetings are: Innovative closed-open shape of the cross section which assures large resistance to the longitudinal shear at the interface between the sheet and the concrete, up to 5m spans when working as shuttering, simple attachment of smaller loads at the lower surface of the sheeting, competitiveness of the new product compared to the existing products on the market.

COBISS.SI-ID: 3476065Continuous development of the software has lead on 1. November 2006 to the official release of the new software products. The first product is AceGen that enables automatic derivation of formulas and automatic generation of program codes. The second product is general symbolic-numeric finite element environment AceFEM. Both products run as independent packages within a general environment for symbolic-numeric technical computing Mathematica. International Corporation Wolfram Research, Inc agreed to be an international distributer of the newly developed packages.

COBISS.SI-ID: 3476065D. Beg, F. Saje and J. Lopatič translated seven EUROCODE standards into Slovenian language. They were deeply involved in activities related to the dissimination of information on EUROCODE standards and to the introduction of up-to-date design methods for steel and composite structures. In 2007 and 2008 they served as lectures in the series of courses for designers. D. Beg was a member of two project teams that prepared standards EN1993-1-5 (stability of plated structures) and EN1993-1-12 (design of structures made of high strength steel).

COBISS.SI-ID: 3010657In the beginning of 2006 D. Beg was appointed as a chairman of the Scientific Committee of the most important European scientific conference on steel structures EUROSTEEL 2008. The conference was organized in September 2008 in Graz, Austria, by the following three universities: Technical University Vienna, Technical University Graz and University of Ljubljana.

COBISS.SI-ID: 4257121To ensure thermal stability of exibition rooms a concrete heating-cooling wall panel was developed, equiped with a system for automatic running and monitoring of temperature and moisture. Due to the panels use of heating energy was decreades for 67% (from 156 kWh/m2.a to 50.4 kWh/m2.a), use of energy for cooling was not higher than 11 kWh/m2.a. Project was carried out with co-financiong of EC TREN, research programme Building constructions (Gradbene konstrukcije) and KSKE FGG. We proceed with monitoring.
