The book represents overall contents in the field of modeling, analysis and control design of electromechanical systems. Because of its complexity is this work a result of several years experience of the authors in the discussed field. The textbook is the first and the only one in Slovenia, whereas according to the authors’ knowledge there is no similar work in the world so fully supported by the simulation analysis in MATLAB. On the basis of the attached bibliography it can be seen that an English version is also available, which is however used for the classes at the foreign universities.

COBISS.SI-ID: 54189057Power quality disturbances, in particularly voltage sags, may be detrimental to several sensitive consumers of electric energy. Association of the Slovenian utility was therefore interested into the research study on voltage sag source detection, where different criteria were developed which makes it possible to determine weather voltage sags originated in the distribution network or in the transmission network. Thus, several generalized methods for voltage sag source detection were introduced, which are all based on instantaneous voltages and currents captured at the monitoring point.

COBISS.SI-ID: 10652694The 15th International Expert Meeting – Power Engineering was prepared in 2006 by members of our program group at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Statistics: approximately 150 participants from Slovenia and Europe, 31 papers and 7 invited lectures. The XIX Symposium Electromagnetic Phenomena in Nonlinear Circuits was also organized. This symposium is traditionally held every two years in different European country, while researchers all over the world and people from industry are participating. This symposium has taken place in Slovenia for the first time.

COBISS.SI-ID: 10414102The invention refers to the star-delta switching element that allows for switch-on, start-up and operation of asynchronous electromotor and successfully replaced the existing version of contactor combinations for control of asynchronous motors with the power exceeding 4kW. The constructional concept of the switching element provides for three independent positions which are via the transmission elements transmitted into the contact section, where the mobile support of flexible contact closes the corresponding contacts.
