The study presents computer-aided traffic accident analysis, together with widely adopted human body models and software tools for injury estimation. It was emphasized that a traffic accident is a complex phenomenon, where occupant's body is exposed to severe impact loads which can cause injuries. To estimate the possibility and the severity of the injuries, the occupant's dynamic response has to be known. The use of injury criteria in traffic accident analysis is demonstrated, while some aspects in human body modelling are considered that can significantly affect the injury estimation.

COBISS.SI-ID: 9274907The developed software application i3Drive is used for interactive simulation of vehicle driving dynamics on a terrain. It connects the vehicle model with up to four axles and geometrical model of driving surface through graphical user interface. The vehicle model is controlled by control device. Compared to currently accessible applications i3Drive is, due to its interactivity and flexibility, a unique tool for driving simulation. It enables thorough analysis of driving dynamics, where determining of vehicle positions, visibility analysis, terrain exploration or operator training is required.

COBISS.SI-ID: 10008603In the study, a new design of a steel safety barrier was developed. The analysis was performed in the ANSYS software environment according to the SIST EN 1317 standard. The most important design features, influencing the barrier performance, were shown to be the shape of the post, the flexibility of the blockout and the flexibility of the structure connector, which can cause wheel snagging. The improvement demonstrates better absorption of the vehicle kinetic energy, decreased loads of the vehicle passengers and better protection of the motorcycle riders.

COBISS.SI-ID: 10177307For Goodyear EP company (Kranj) we have developed an innovative concept of a “container” tool for commercial vehicles air springs vulcanization. It enables quicker change of shape segments in the tool container. This significantly reduces cost and time necessary for tool exchange. Besides, vulcanisation productivity is nearly doubled since the new concept allows vulcanisation of two air springs in on cycle instead of only one. The new solution was submitted to the Best Innovative Idea, Innovation, Invention, Technological or Other Solution show - Hevreka 06 and was ranged among best 50.

COBISS.SI-ID: 10267163We have developed an information system for improving the state of public passenger transport (PPT). The system consists of a central relation database and a user application. It is capable of data management and visualisation on interactive maps and orthophotography. Its primary functions are to establish a unified database, to inventory bus stations and to determine exact pathways between them on a digital roadway infrastructure. The system represents the first step in regulating PPT which will in term lead to reduced prices, increased availability and quality, and increased traffic safety.
