Between 2004 and 2004 we organized several conferences: OTS 2004-2008, INPRO 2006-2007 and KMO 2006. The OTS Conference – Contemporary technologies and services, is the traditional event bringing together researchers and information systems developers. The conference Law and Informatics is a conference intended for the interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of informatics and law. The first international conference KMO 2006 was intended for the presentation and discussion of research results in the field of knowledge management.

COBISS.SI-ID: 57027585The project "Electronic Fee Collection for Free-Flowing Traffic" is the result of co-operation between Slovenian companies, universities and a national mobile telecommunications operator. The project was later continued in the project ISECE – interoperability of electronic fee collection in Europe included the preparation, coordination and execution of activities for architecture for assuring the interoperability of electronic fee collection in Europe. As a result, two patent applications were made in 2007.

COBISS.SI-ID: 6378580Members of the research programme have been members of initiative groups for three national technological platforms: Embedded Systems – ARTEMIS, TP for software and services - NESSI (Networked European Software and Services Initiative) and the technological platform Networked and Electronic Media – NEM. Technological platforms are mechanisms for development policies established by the EU and are intended for strategic issues and the challenges of particular research areas.
D.01 Chairing over/coordinating (international and national) projects
COBISS.SI-ID: 12062486Members of the research programme have been actively involved in the renovation of the study programs at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science according to the Bologna model. The results have included a new study programme title “Informatics and Communication Technologies” at both the university and professional level, whereas some members are also involved in particular subjects at the university and professional level study programmes (Computer Science, Media Communications and Telecommunications).
D.02 Establishment of a research centre, laboratory, study course, association
COBISS.SI-ID: 13133334Members of the research programme have been actively involved in the establishment of the Science Park at the University of Maribor, which enables the establishment of R&D units between institutes and the industry, the establishment of innovation centres and start-ups and spin-offs. Members of the research programme have been involved in the establishment of the Microsoft Innovation Centre and as the chairs of the National committee for innovation and as a representative in the development group for ICT at the Slovenian Council for competition.
