Researcher Zdravko Kobe finally brought his grand project of translating Kant's classical work Critique of Pure Reason in Slovene language. This first unabridged and comprehensive publication of this text in one volume certainly represents a momentous milestone in Slovene philosophy and will surely exhibit a seminal influence on the fate of idealism in Slovenia.

COBISS.SI-ID: 303260672Gregor Kroupa has contributed to this selection of articles from Diderot's and d'Alembert's famous Encyclopédie as general editor and co-translator. This book is an important achievment of Slovenian publishing as it is the first book-length selection of the articles in Slovene. In the articles »Art« and »Encyclopedia« Diderot uses a narrative method of »conjectural history«, as it was later baptized by Dugald Stewart – a ficticious narrative designed to supplement the missing pieces of history with idealized succession of events. The text is also the basis of Kroupa's interpretation of conjectural history as an essential element of philosophy of the Enlightenment, which, despite the influence of empiricism, was still indebted to Cartesian ideals.
