The contribution attempts make a step further in the direction proposed by Agamben who is starting from Arendt's conclusion about the status of refugees in her text "We refugees". It sheds light on apparently marginal and also largely unthematised insights that Agamben discusses in the same text (i.e. in “Beyond Human Rights”) regarding practical political examples and solutions that may emerge on the basis of his categorical criticism of the biopolitical concepts of citizenship and nation-state
