The book provides an overview of the approaches to the development of a specialized housing fund for the older adults, focusing on the achievements of the Anglo-Saxon areas and the savings generated by the safe environments for their national health systems. COBISS.SI-ID: 303321088We studied the existing social infrastructure for the older adults in Slovenia, developed the demographic projections in the Local Action Groups (LAGs) of 38 municipalities, and based on surveys among current users of long-term care services, their relatives, long-term care providers and the responsible staff among the municipal employees, responsible for planning and supervising the implementation of long-term care systems, we developed an optimal plan for the development of the necessary social infrastructure and indicated the design of a smart silver village as an ICT platform for spatial development and implementation of integrated long-term care services. The last paragraphs of the book already cover the topics of the project P5-0364.
F.19 Knowledge that leads to a company spin off
COBISS.SI-ID: 303043072The conference was held under the local organization NTNU in Trondheim, but our research group and our colleagues from the University of Cartagena, Slovenia and Italy participated intensively in the scientific and organizational committee, as well as in the preparation of the proceedings. At the conference, we organized a special section dedicated to the issue of social infrastructure under the leadership of project leader David Bogataj [COBISS.SI-ID 25611750]. In 2018, a similar conference took place in the Netherlands, Groningen University [COBISS.SI-ID 24702950]. Our research group also participated in the organization and editorial work. In fact, we opened a research topic on the issue of social infrastructure for the elderly to the wider European research public. Some papers presented in the stream, already cover the topics of the project P5-0364.
