We demonstrate remote temperature measurement using dye doped cholesteric liquid crystal droplets dispersed in a fluid medium. Upon excitation with a pulsed laser the droplets emit laser light due to Bragg lasing. The spectral position of the lasing is highly dependent on temperature, which enables temperature measurement with a precision of 0.1 K. Both laser excitation and collection of light is performed through a 20 cm aperture optics at a distance of few meters.
