The study discusses the link between the quality of open spaces in cities and their use in selected user groups; i.e. in children and the elderly. We assume that the quality of open space between Slovenian cities varies, and that it affects the amount and modalities of physical activity, as well as the satisfaction of users with open public space. In addition to the professional public, we wanted to inform the widest possible range of users, so we have prepared a summary with the findings and recommendations for planning and design of open spaces for each of the pilot school districts (Trebnje, Metlika, Tolmin, Žalec and two in Ljubljana). We want to provide useful hints for the decision makers and planners and to contribute together to the quality open areas for more active young people and healthy older inhabitants and finally to a more pleasant environment for all.

COBISS.SI-ID: 9405049The main objective of the European INTESI Project is to ensure long-term supply of services of general interest through integrated spatial strategies and policies with an emphasis on integration. This booklet, which arose as the accompanying text of the public exhibition, summarizes the results of the pilot activity aimed at improving the supply of services of general economic interest primarily provided by the market and not by the state. The exhibition was placed on the central marketplaces in Idria (May, June 2018) and Cerkno (July 2018). In the Idrija-Cerkljansko, which was our test area, we explored where and how the inhabitants were shopping once, where they shop today, and what changes in the service network they want. In the design of an alternative model of supply of basic goods, we have listed the facilities that were once in use but are today derelict and reviewed some good practices from a Slovenia and abroad. The main target groups are service providers, municipal departments for spatial planning and social activities, residents and local and regional development agency. The results were also presented in the international context, namely the INTESI project partners from France, Italy, Austria and Switzerland

COBISS.SI-ID: 8979833The study on green infrastructure and ecological connectivity had several objectives. First, we checked the understanding of concepts – green infrastructure and ecological connectivity in the Alpine context (interviews with Italian, Austrian, Swiss, German, French and Slovenian stakeholders). Knowledge of understanding is necessary as a basis for policy analysis and institutional analysis. First, we found out if and to what extent the green infrastructure has already been incorporated or supported by the strategic policies and legislation of the Alpine Member States, secondly, if there is an appropriate management framework for the introduction and implementation of these two concepts into the spatial management process in these countries. Through examples of good practice, we have provided guidance to renovate the management framework in the macro-regional context of the Alpine macro region and at Member State level. The results of the study are the most relevant to stakeholders, such as representatives of the Ministries of environment and space, nature protection, tourism, regional development, representatives of public institutions in these areas at all administrative levels and representatives of Action Group 7 within the macro region, which are engaged in these topics at transnational level.
F.25 Development of new organisational structures and managerial solutions
COBISS.SI-ID: 9367417The ŠIPK V-KULTUR project was designed to evaluate the offer of cultural tourism in Ljubljana, paying special attention to selected social groups (young, older, young families), which are not common visitors to cultural sights and events in Ljubljana, and to evaluate the position of Ljubljana among other comparable central European cities in the field of cultural tourism. The project contributes to the implementation of the "Strategic guidelines of cultural tourism in Ljubljana for the period 2017-2020", as it was designed together with the Public Institute of Tourism Ljubljana. The study identified cultural tourism, featured a typical cultural tourist and prepared a marketing analysis of the products. We visited a number of cultural institutions and evaluated the appropriateness of their offer for vulnerable groups. In interviews, their representatives contributed useful information about the existing products, the ways of promotion and the characteristics of a typical visitor. The inhabitants of Ljubljana and the surrounding municipalities have disclosed in the survey where and how often they are culturally engaging and, consequently, what type of cultural visitor they are, what they expect from a cultural offer and what suggestions they have for improvement. In the final project activity we prepared proposals for improvements in the cultural offer in Ljubljana and prepared three brochures for the target promotion of cultural offers among young, older and young families.

COBISS.SI-ID: 9368185Strategic evaluation is one of the tasks in the framework of the renovation of the Spatial Development Strategy of Slovenia (SPRS) from 2004. The SPRS is a fundamental strategic document for guiding the spatial development of the country to ensure spatial cohesion on the basis of spatial potentials. The new SPRS 2030/2050 has argued a new, holistic approach to spatial development, which aims to ' link between sectors and levels ', horizontally and vertically, and aims to create long-term measures ensuring spatial cohesion (and integration) between the three main, in the core of conflicting spatial domains; Physical (F), Socio-cultural (S) and Economic (G). The basic strategic evaluation tool is a cross-sectional method based on a matrix approach. With the evaluation, we assessed the integrative and in particular cohesive potential of the SPRS effects and how these contribute to changing the key negative trends identified by the previous analyses. The second purpose of the evaluation was to draw up a prototype evaluation for the implementation of other spatial policy tasks, in particular to evaluate the cohesion impacts of spatial actions (defined by action plans and regional and municipal documents) and measures of other departments in adopting their policies.
