In the lecture we presented the main geographical characteristics of northeastern Slovenia, especially hilly landscapes. We briefly described main characteristics that influence hydrological conditions and occurrence of natural disasters (e.g. landslides). We introduced the project workflow for Slovenian part of the international project. We presented the data collected and briefly described the field work, which was a basis for the selection of areas suitable for soil moisture monitoring system installation, land use analysis etc.

COBISS.SI-ID: 42908717In the lecture we made a general overview of erosional processes in Slovenia. The occurrence of erosional processes was presented by natural-geographic macroregions, with an emphasis on the Pannonian landscapes of north-eastern Slovenia. In the Pannonian landscapes landslides, landslips and soil erosion were highlighted. In the lecture, special emphasis was put into distinguishing between sediment production (erosion on the slopes) and sediment yield (transport of eroded material in watercourses).
