In the period 7-9 October 2019, ZRC SAZU together with Park Škocjan Caves was the organizer of international conference »Sustainable management of show caves«, which took place in Škocjan (https://izrk-sci-mtg.zrc-sazu.si/). There were 50-60 participants, and more of them were invited foreign lecturers. At the conference higher number of project members participated. We presented results obtained from this project and related to cave micro-climate, lampenflora, biology, natural and cultural heritage. Abstracts and guide-book of the conference were collected in the publication (https://izrk-sci-mtg.zrc-sazu.si/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Guide-Abstract-Book_20191017-final.pdf). Lectures have been connected with field-work within which we visited Škocjan Caves and Vilenica. In Škocjan Caves American collegues, who have more-years long experiences of the sustainable use of the caves, we have cleaned the cave wall of the grafitti. International conference was important for presentation of the project results to co-financer Škocjan Caves Park.

COBISS.SI-ID: 302019072Detailed field geological mapping in the scale 1:500 in example of Velika and Mala dolina at Škocjan Caves, showed an interesting geological characteristics. Regarding dip direction of Cretaceous limestone beds and regarding deepness of Velika and Mala dolina it was shown that on surface geological map older beds show up as two erosional-karst Windows. This is not tectonic window. Similar cases can be expected on wider karst area. This contrubution was presented at regular meeting of SZGG (Slovenian Association for Geodesy and Geophyiscs) in 2018 in Ljubljana.
