We conducted a student project work with a group of MSc students of the study program Industrial Engineering on the topic of reviewing and creating a maturity model for Industry 4.0 for manufacturing companies. The concept of a maturity model with five (5) maturity levels was developed. In addition, a questionnaire was created for the manufacturing companies, based on which the proposed concept of maturity model can determine the maturity level at which the selected manufacturing company is currently. With the student project work, we have widely disseminated the knowledge especially to the younger population.
D.10 Educational activities
COBISS.SI-ID: 22921750In the framework of successful international collaboration between the University of Maribor, Faculty of Logistics and Norwegian University of Science and Technology – NTNU, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (Trondheim, Norway), an invited lecture entitled "Automation and robotization in industry 4.0" has been performed. The content of the invited lecture correspond to our research applied project.

COBISS.SI-ID: 513045821In the applied research project, professional studies were carried out, i.e. logistic analysis of the production and storage process "Adjustaža" and "Commercial warehouse", namely (i) new layouts of process "Adjustaža" and "Commercial warehouse", (ii) a more efficient way of picking steel profile bundles by minimizing the number of overhead crane movements, (iii) process data analysis of process "Adjustaža" and "Commercial warehouse" and (4) simulation analysis of steel profile bundles transport from process "Adjustaža" to "Commercial warehouse. These studies have applied and scientific value towards the methodology for building an integral model of transport-warehouse processes to enhance intralogistics system efficiency [COBISS.SI-ID 513121853], [COBISS.SI-ID 513121085], [COBISS.SI-ID 513121341], [COBISS.SI-ID 513121597].

COBISS.SI-ID: 513121341In the framework of successful international collaboration between the University of Maribor, Faculty of Logistics and Texas State University, Ingram School of Engineering, Department of Industrial Engineering (San Marcos, Texas, ZDA), an invited lecture entitled "Intralogistics 4.0: trends, technologies and developments" has been performed. The content of the invited lecture correspond to our research applied project.
B.04 Guest lecture
COBISS.SI-ID: 513046077On the basis of the recognition of the publications in the field of analytical and numerical modelling of transport and warehouse systems in intralogistics, I was invited as the guest editor of a special issue "Advanced Digital Technology in Logistics Engineering". In this journal, which is Open Access, we will also publish in 2021 the results of our research work.
