The first development version of an Android application for collecting survey and sensor data on mobile devices has been developed. It already enables integrated retrieval of both data types by supporting display of web survey questionnaires and survey notifications as well as advanced services for location tracking and activity recognition. Developed were also features for continuous survey data collection according to preset intervals, which enable the direct utilisation of the application for diary and similar studies. A special attention was devoted to the collection of diagnostic data collection paradata, which will be particularly important for the experimental studies that are going to be conducted in the project. The application presents an important innovation as it combines advanced solutions for integrated survey and sensor data collection with a focus on general usability for a variety of substantive research purposes.
