In the frame of the plenary lecture at The Conference on the 65th Anniversary of Faculty of Pharmacy, Comenius University in Bratislava and 46th EuroCongress on Drug Synthesis and Analysis in Bratislava J. B.04 Guest lecture
COBISS.SI-ID: 1537505731Our students were involved into the research work, which should increase the popularisation of science. The Bachelor thesis entails the synthesis, isolation, purification and characterization of variously substituted diaryliodonium salts. A series of symmetric diphenyliodonium salts with phenyl rings bearing selected substituents with different electronic effects was successfully prepared. Symmetric diaryliodonium salts are useful reagents for electrophilic arylations. These compounds will be used for the synthesis of 1,3,4-triarylsubstituted 1,2,3-triazolium salts as described under B3.
