The invention relates to a cutting disc for a kitchen appliance, wherein the cutting disc has at least one cutting edge extending from the inner circle with the inner radius to the outer radius and has a cutting edge spaced from the base surface. It is characterized in that the cutting edge is divided into at least two differently oriented or differently curved sections of the cutting edge: the section of the inner cutting edge between the inner radius and the middle radius and the outer section of the cutting edge between the middle radius and the outer radius. The sections of the cutting edge are aligned so that a concave cutting edge is formed and where the cutting edge is directed in the direction of movement.

COBISS.SI-ID: 15848987During daily tasks in the kitchen, several types of waste are generated, the disposal of which poses problems for the user in terms of volume, hygiene and the appearance of the living space. Managing packaging waste in particular is becoming an increasing problem, as it is voluminous and pollutes the environment. Therefore, there is a need for the collected waste packaging to be in such a form that can be recycled. The project team consisted of a representative of the concessionaires (BSH household appliances, Nazarje), pedagogical mentors and a group of eight students. Within the project, a concept of a device for reducing the volume of packaging waste in households was developed. The life cycle of packaging waste and statistics data, gathered through carried out online survey on the use of the kitchen in households, were taken into account. A press mechanism with a threaded spindle has proven to be a suitable construction solution for reducing the volume of packaging into a recyclable form. The composing construction components were recalculated according to the compression tests of different types of packaging. At the end of the project, a mockup model of a household appliance was built. Industrial design students produced several types of renderings of the final design of the household appliance.

COBISS.SI-ID: 17021467In 2019 Laboratory LASIM organizes in co-organization by the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce annually an expert conference on industrial automation and assembly. The conference covers the areas that are in high correlation with the areas of program members: intelligent automation and robotics, Industry 4.0 and IIoT technologies, Big Data, Cloud technology, Factories of future, smart components and systems, the efficiency of production processes and systems, innovative solutions in terms of LEAN manufacturing. Over 150 participants from more than 50 companies and other R&D institutions attended the conference, which shows the extraordinary interest and importance of the event from the economic point of view.

In all five issues (2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019), I have taken most of the editorial work and responsibility. Special issues with subtitle Special Issue of the Slovenian Society INFORMATIKA. Section of Operations Research substantially contributes to the visibility of Slovenian OR research, and also contributes to a better quality of the series of conferences SOR (Symposium on Operations Research, 14th conference was organized in 2019). I am also involved in the organization of these conferences for years, several times as a cochair of the program committee. In addition, I served as coeditor of special issues of Discussiones Math. Graph Theory, Theoretical Computer Science, Business Systems Research Journal (3x), and a volume of Lecture Notes in Computer Science (Springer). I am also a member of editorial boards of four scientific journals: Ars Mathematica Contemporanea, Central European Journal of Operations Research, Mathematics Interdisciplinary Research, MDPI Mathematics.
