In their contribution, the authors focus on the problem of transferring information between schools and parents from the perspective of cooperation aimed towards ensuring the quality of educational process implementation. Cooperation between parents and schools is an important element for the quality of work in educational institutions; it influences the interpersonal relations, climate and culture in schools. Expectations regarding mutual cooperation depend on tradition, objectives, social context, legislative frameworks and the current social situation. Schools present important information about their functioning in the pedagogical and organisational fields, which is also determined by the formal legal framework of the life and work of educational institutions. However, the question of parental decisionmaking regarding programmes, implementation and organisational affairs of schools, still remains open.
