In the present application the method for treatment of Ti and Ti based alloys is presented based on the combined treatment of the surface by electrochemcal anodization and highly reactive oxygen species. The treatment method provides such surface features which significantly reduce adhesion of plateltes, their agregation and acttivation on the surface.

COBISS.SI-ID: 30212903In the aptent application the method of treatment of NiTi alloys is presented based on nanostructuring the surface of titanium based alloy and formation of TiO2 on the surface of NiTi alloy. The method prevents adhesion of platelets on the surface and reduces possibilities for thrombous reactions onthe implant surface. The vascular stents made of NiTi alloys are commonly used and by this treatment procedures their surface properties are altered in such a manner that thrombous reactions are highly reduced which is beneficial for the patients.
