D.09 Tutoring for postgraduate students
COBISS.SI-ID: 29537575Through a systematic analysis of the latest achievements in the field of deterministic radio propagation modelling, with an emphasis on raytracing techniques, as well as in the field of hardware acceleration algorithms, we obtained new knowledge and practical skills. These are available to the participating companies as well as to graduate students through the pedagogical activities of the project team members. This newly acquired knowledge is also useful for further development and application of ray-tracing techniques to different application areas.

The framework is openly available for download and use, while user manual is available in the form of a technical report. The framework, the corresponding newly acquired knowledge and implemented radio localization methods in indoor environments are also used for lecturing at the second Bologna level course on Ad-hoc and sensor networks at the Jozef Stefan International Postgraduate School.

For instance, the proposed reduction of diffraction edges may as well be applied to CAD engineering. The information on these skills is publicly available through the published technical reports. Furthermore, the knowledge dissemination by the project team members to the graduate students is taking place through the educational activities.

COBISS.SI-ID: 31280167Efficient implementation of the developed ray-tracing algorithms on multicore platforms is documented in several technical reports that span software and hardware architecture, application interface, user manuals, as well as performance tests. The established remote service will enable the exploitation of precise deterministic channel characterization in broad range of telecommunication problems. Radio environment characterization is made available to wider community of potential users, from the developers of various web and mobile applications to the wireless network planers and network operators. This achievement is complemented with the achievements documented in reports with COBISS ID 31510311, 32181031 and 31510055.
