Through this project, we are laying the foundation for an e-learning environment that will be primarily meant for primary (starting at 6th grade) and middle school students but also appropriate for many other educational purposes. We will present and elaborate on a series of issues that concern the fields of orthography, grammar, phraseology and texts in general. We will supply multiple assignments designed to help users improve their language competences. This learning environment will ensure ease of access and usage on smartphones and tablets, smooth transitions between levels and sections, a high degree of interactivity and other features expected of modern online platforms. A working prototype of the environment has been demonstrated at training sessions for Slovene teachers and workshops at collaborating pedagogical institutes.

On the centennial of Cankar's death, we organized an international scientific conference titled Cankar's Leaf in the White Chrysanthemum, held on 30 and 31 May 2018 in the premises of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Maribor. It was attended by 40 researchers from Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Russia and Hungary. Cankar's artistic and cultural-political opus was presented in the papers from the aspects of literary science, history, philosophy, translation, theater, linguistics, foreign languages and didactics of Slovene. Summaries of the papers from the conference are printed in the proceedings entitled Cankar's Leaf in the White Chrysanthemum [COBISS.SI-ID 12023113] and the reviewed papers are published in the group scientific monograph under the title Ivan Cankar in the intercultural space in the International Book Collection Zora, 2018.

COBISS.SI-ID: 24428296The main goal of the dissertation entitled Interculturality in the Contemporary Slovenian Novel after 1991 is to systematically analyze the authentic concretizations (inscenations) of interculturality as a worldwide phenomenon in the contemporary Slovenian novel after 1991. Thus, the key focus of the research is placed on the notable features (indicators, bases) of a narrative encountering the interculturality in the contemporary Slovenian novel after 1991. The reason lies in the fact that in the 1980s and 1990s we witnessed the fast growth of the scientific branches that enabled researchers to generate their own theoretical debates about interculturality, including several mutually incoherent starting points. Theorems such as interculturality, intercultural dialogue, intercultural contact, intercultural conflict, etc., are currently present in many human areas, therefore it is not unusual to find them in literary studies as well. However, as the general (humanistic) idea of interculturality is obviously too broad for the validity structure of researching the literature's inscenations of interculturality, the intercultural literary studies have been emerged and developed over the last four decades. But even though these studies are equipped with more compound than "one-size-fits-all" research strategies, their experts yet seemed to be maintaining...
