The headings of the main chapters of the monograph are as follows: 1. INTRODUCTION; 2. PROBLEMS OF AGEING EUROPE AND ELDERCARE; 3. MEASUREMENT OF THE DEPENDENCE OF OLD PEOPLE ON THE HELP OF OTHERS; 4. SEARCHING SPATIAL SOLUTIONS FOR A QUALITATIVE AGE; 5. INTEGRATION OF THE MULTIPLE DECREMENTS FUNCTION WITH THE CHANGE OF SPATIAL NEEDS OF AGE GROUPS; 6. ASSESSMENT OF THE IMPACT OF THE LIFE STYLE ON AMENDMENTS TO THE NET PRESENT VALUE OF THE COSTS OF LONG-TERM CARE; 7. FINANCING LONG-TERM SUPPLY IN THE HOME BASED ON THE REVERSE MORTGAGE PRODUCTS; 8. CONCLUSION. The publication of this monograph which is the result of a two-year study of the current long-term care in the Slovenian regions in rural and urban areas, and based on the study of needs and possibilities for better future planning and implementation of long-term care at home and in the institutional environment, was financed by the Slovenian Research Agency within the Public Call to co-finance the issuance of scientific monographs in 2017. The book is completely sold out, which means that there was a great interest among the providers of care for the elderly at the national and local level, especially after the authors presented this book during the working seminar. The book goes into reprint.

The article gives an approach to optimizing the supply systems with perishable foods or medicines related to the domotics (smart refrigerator) and are important for the provision of fresh medicines and food for those in the LTC systems. Therefore, it is a model to support decision-making in providing a more efficient and cheaper supply of medicines, fruit and vegetables directly to the home. The model is based on controlling time delays based on MRP theory.

In the article, an actuarial model of a reverse mortgage for the drawing of property value (Equity Release Scheme - ERS) was formulated. It was connected with a graph of multiple decrements model, where competition risks appear, with the aim of better long-term (also spatial) planning of specialized housing units for housing care for the elderly. On the basis of this model, a study of the optimal taxation of real estate is made. High tax transactions make it difficult to better accommodate the housing for seniors to functional capabilities, which has been particularly pronounced in Spain, and it is therefore proposed to move from taxing transactions to a periodic property tax that is fairer for all generations. The model based on the equalization of actuarial present values can be directly used for the policymakers. The model represents the theoretical basis for all further work on the project.

The objective of this paper is to introduce the decision model and required database for planning and financing of Health and Social Infrastructure including long-term care services and dwelling units suitable for the older population. The model is based on a multiple decrements approach. As a novelty, we have developed a scheme of long-term care insurance where disbursement of benefits depends on functional capacities of older adults and type of dwelling, where they are living. Actuarial present value of long-term care LTC is subject of criterion function of suitability of the social infrastructure. Local authorities can use the model for supporting decisions regarding investment in social infrastructure for elderly. Simulations of transitions are presented on the bases of Slovenian data and their variations. The plan of intensity of care and the projections of yearly expenditures for LTC are evaluated on the base of the actuarial present value. The required data sets are presented.

The article highlights the shrinking of cities due to aging and what we need to pay attention to in wage policy in order to attract workers from the wider areas of a functional region, which is especially important for the so-called "silver economy" of cities that are otherwise shrinking. The downsizing of cities has a negative impact on the value of real estate and the possibility of a successful implementation of the ERS, which is an important risk to which the system is exposed. The work is based on the MRP model, which developed in the last quarter of the last century to date and whose review of development was published in: BOGATAJ, David, BOGATAJ, Marija. NPV approach to material requirements planning theory : a 50-year review of these research achievements. International Journal of Production Research, 2019 (A'':1;A':1; WoS: IJ, IK, PE) where the Net Present Value is compared with the Actuarial Present Value.
