The project leader had a public lecture at the National Institute of Biology, which was published on the Tromba website (Agency for the Promotion of Science, Creativity and Innovation) and is fully accessible on the web portal "videolectures.net" (http: // videolectures. net / nib_zajc_halofilne_glive /). In her lecture, she presented the life environments of halophilic fungi and their adaptive mechanisms that enable them to thrive in conditions of low water availability and high levels of toxic ions. Motivation for these research is in addition to basic scientific curiosity, their potential usefulness for industrial and agricultural purposes. In the lecture the findings on the case of the most halophilic fungus described so far Wallemia ichthyophaga and halotolerant yeasts of the genus Aureobasidium were presented.
B.04 Guest lecture
COBISS.SI-ID: 4632655In the interview, a presentation of the biological control based on yeast was introduced, then the content of the project financed by the Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS Z7-7436) was presented together with the main results and the future plans.
F.18 Transfer of new know-how to direct users (seminars, fora, conferences)
COBISS.SI-ID: 4965455The project leader presented the results obtained during the project with lectures at the international conference of IOBC (International Organisation for Biological and Integrated Control) in Spain, for which she was selected among the submitted contributions. Lecture has brought new acquaintances and the beginning of cooperation with researchers from the University of Bologna (Italy), Edmund Mach Foundation (Italy) and the Unites States Department of Agriculture (USDA; United States of America).
B.03 Paper at an international scientific conference
COBISS.SI-ID: 4689231The project leader was co-menthor of the two master's theses carried out at the Biotechnical Faculty, the Department of Food Science during the time of the project. The two theses were thematically related to the content of the project. ŠTURM, Luka.
