Abstract
In the proposed research project we deal with the methods to compute the response and to identify the structured half-space. Attention is given the following interrelated problems: Developing the approximate procedures to evaluate the Green’s function of a structured half-space, transforming the outer reduced wave problem to an inner one through the introduction of fictitious boundary and determination of pertinent boundary conditions on it and lastly the development of mathematical models, which will permit the identification of dynamic properties of soils.
