Abstract
The research will present the current situation of local self-government in Slovenia from the administrative-legislative, organizational, economic and informatizational point of view. It is a multidisciplinary project that integrates different scientific views. Beside a critical view reflecting the state of local self-government, the research is going to propose also solutions as scientific base for lawmakers and for central and local government decision making.
