Significance for science
The topic of knowledge-transfer is relevant in the theoretical sense, but also from the scientific and R&R policy point of view. We are pursuing an – up till now – rarely used approach. We referr mainly to methodology and combining the topic with social capital or social networks. Our advantage – due to internationally constructed research group – is also in the possibility of international comparison and swift acqusition of interesting analyses. We assume our forthcoming contributions will gain certain impact in terms of WoS citations.
Significance for the country
It is known that, in Slovenia, one of the essential developmental problems or obstacles is related to low level of transfer or utilization of knowledge and modest number of hi-tech enterprises. Our research, respectively programme group will emphasise the meaning of transition into knowledge-society, strategic planning on the level of R&R policy and embededness of science in wider enterpreneurial and civil society framework. Consequentially we will – at least indirectly – influence the awareness of these important aspects and the decisionmaking in management and politics.
