Abstract
We will interview several key managers, social acteurs who were deeply involved in Slovenia's relatively successful industrial development under a socialist system, within which many companies were active abroad. We use a qualitative approach geared to gaining most from the insider accounts of the people best positioned to inform us on the construction and functioning of that system. We will use knowledge gained from the project in order to formulate strategic elements useful for further development.
