Abstract
Firstly, the pattern of prescribing and use of antidepressants in Slovenia shall be investigated. Thereafter, the focus of the project shall be the adherence to the treatment for depression. Pharmacoepidemiologic methods shall be used on the basis of national health care databases. Adherence to the treatment, including its predictors, shall be also evaluated in a prospective study. Based on the evidence derived from the previous studies an intervention shall be prepared and evaluated.
