Abstract
The situation regarding disturbances in the Slovenian electrical power network is critical. Disturbances are primarily caused by major industrial consumers with dynamic loads – arc furnaces in Slovenian ironworks. Voltage fluctuation causing flicker is the most urgent problem. The main objective of the project is to determine the technically and economically most favourable solution for reducing disturbances to the values stipulated by regulations. Different system measures and effects of modern compensation devices on reducing flicker value will be evaluated by means of digital simulation.
