Abstract
Main aim of the proposad project is the development of constitutive models for polymers that are exposed to large strains and severe thermomechanical conditions during forming of polymer-metal laminates. The consortium comprises Slovenian research groups with international reputation in the areas of material formig, constitutive modelling and experimental testing of polymers as well as finite element computations. By combining their knowledge and equipment they will build a soud theoretical-experimental base that will be supported with modern computer models for inverse identification of non-linear material properties. This will form an efficient system for fundamental investigations of laminates subjected to large deformations. Verification will be performed for Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) coatings applied to electrolytic chromium coated steels (ECCS).
