Abstract
The research is a contribution to solve a problem of bad tolerance to drought stress by hop plants. In the preliminary researches we found out that a drought stress has a great influence on the quantity and quality of hop yield. Hop plants have different defence mechanisms against drought stress and some biochemical markers are also the measurs of efficiency of plants against drought stress. In the research we are searching for biochemical markers which are the part of defence mechanism and also the markers which are not the part of defence mechanism but they are useful in finding of tolerance to drought stress. Biochemical markers can be separate components of essential oil and different substances of physiological mechanisms of defence. Application of biochemical markers means quick and simple identification of toleranter cultivars. They also make possible an effective breeding because we can avoid the yearlong field experiments which based on visual simptoms and yield finding.
