Abstract
Intra-atomic effects in EXAFS spectra are studied to construct an effective method to separate EXAFS signal from the atomic background, improving on existing heuristic approaches. The improved EXAFS method will be used for structural analysis of new materials with emphases on amorphous and liquid phases, sol-gels, nano and micro structured materials, and for identification of sites of different dopants incorporated into crystal structures.
