Abstract
The proposed research project is conceived as a piece of philosophical research into the virtual and aesthetic constitutions of the (post)modern subject and its politico-philosophical and epistemological implications. Its point of departure is the analysis of contemporary virtual-technological-aesthetical-artistic phenomena and the analysis of their politico-philosophical and scientific presuppositions. The project will articulate those topoi and moments where these phenomena collide with the general social phenomena and with the project of modernity. The theoretical, social and philosophical paradigms such as the phantasmatical background of cyber-communities, artistic structures and constitution of the subject supposedly belonging to these communities will be presented in a critical way.
