Abstract
In the programme the research is focused on cybernetic structuring, operations and adaptive control of manufacturing work system with an emphasis on the role of a human subject related to development, operations and decision making in such work system. Important abilities of subjects (designer, operator, researcher, team leader, manager, etc.) such as competence, co-operation, ability of self organization, team work and other relevant abilities for an optimal structuring and operations of manufacturing work system are being investigated within the objective to develop a new manufacturing paradigm in order to replace the present one develop by F.W. Taylor. Particular research will be focused in new cybernetics structures of elementary work systems (EWS) and the criteria for integration of EWSs into distributed manufacturing system. Moreover, the main stream of investigation will take place in (1) production planning and control model for work system with integrated material and information flow, (2) material flow optimization among distributed cell systems and within them, (3) development of agent based structures for reactive process planning in relation to planning, scheduling and control of DMS, (4) development of a programming system for automated and computer-aided mutual search of service and product suppliers and customers (the electronic brokering), enabling efficient formation of temporary DMS in electro-mechanical industry, (5) development of a communication infrastructure and programming tools for automated interchange of project requirements and project data among various attendees in DMS, (6) development of various programming servers and services, e.g. for project documentation management, mechanical part classification and dynamic part spectrum database management, and (7) development of a programming server for optimisation tasks solving in synthesis of DMS control.
