Abstract
Snowsports and alpine skiing as the most popular winter sports are in conformity with the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations for physical activity since skiing is usually a whole-day activity providing the recommended level of daily physical activity. Particular importance is given to the need for EU Member States to promote alliances to work together in advocating lifelong healthy physical activity – objectives that could be reached within the SKI EASY project.
