Abstract
The mobility of musicians and musical idioms was in the centuries in question one of the major factors in the formation of European as well as local musical repertoires. We know the latter through existing basic studies on music history in specific countries. The investigation will concentrate on the comparison between the phenomena that are recorded on the territory of today''s Slovenia with the contemporary trends in the neighbouring Italy and Austrian lands. It will focus on two models: the Latin monodic motet (an example of music form) and the Academia Philharmonicorum (a music institution). The project''s aim is to clarify the role of the Slovenian territory for the Central-European musical creativity.
