Abstract
One of the basic principles of sustainable development is the consideration of environmental capacity with regard to individual human encroachments. From a contentual standpoint, this research is a continuation of environmental vulnerability studies. On the basis of a catalogue of actual and potential effects of the most intensive individual activities (e.g. population, transport, industry, tourism, agriculture) on the environment, we will evaluate their effects on the individual components of the environment (e.g. air, water, vegetation). We will apply new methodological knowledge in the selected area.
