Abstract
The aim of the proposed research is to understand how business firms and economic actions are constituted and governed in distinct ways in different Slovenian regions, and how these differences lead to different outcomes in terms of their competitiveness. The project will produce results of both practical and scientefic importance. First, it will help us understand the possibilities for building competitive advantage that arise from the emergent forms of economic and business organisation in Slovenia. Second, it will contribute to the comparative study of these organisational forms being conducted elsewhere.
