Abstract
The aim of the study is to evaluate the applicability of radiothermometry in the diagnosis of ovarian masses in postmenopausal women. The patients, admitted to the Department of Ob/Gyn for surgical treatment of ovarian cancer, will be enrolled. The subjects will undergo preoperative ultrasound morphologic examination and radiothermometric measurements. The control group will consist of healthy women who will undergo the same non invasive diagnostic procedures. The obtained results will provide the basis for defining the characteristic radiothermic values of normal and abnormal ovary.
