Abstract
Electroporation of cells by short intense electric pulses induces transient permeabilization of plasma membrane, enabling access of the nonpermeableor poorly permeable drugs into cytosol. The method by which electroporation increases the access of chemotherapeutic drugs into the cells is called electrochemotherapy. The aim of this study is to optimize electrochemotherapy with chemotherapeutics bleomycin and cisplatin. The study is designed on in vitro level, tumor models in mice and as a clinical study in cancer patients.
