Description
The main activities of Turboinstitut are focused on:
- research, development, model manufacturing and testing of water turbines, centrifugal pumps and low pressure ventilators,
- design of hydraulic machines and test rigs for model and/or prototype testing,
- site testing of turbines, pumps and ventilators as acceptable tests for checking guarantees or preliminary tests for troubleshooting or refurbishment ,
- numerical modelling of flows in stationary and rotating parts of hydraulic machines and experimental checking of velocities by laser anemometer,
- assessment and refurbishment of hydro power plants and pump stations,
- condition and performance monitoring,
- control, automation and remote control of hidropower plants,
- planning, performance evaluation and engineering of small hydro,
- engineering of special pumps,
- calibration of flow meters and volumetric vessels, as an authorised institution,
- education to MSc and DSc level,
- development of turbo-prop engines of airliners,
- development of process industry and energy production monitoring systems
